Hollywood legend Jane Russell dies at age of 89

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes stars Jane Russell died at age 89.
Daugher-brother Elia Waterfield said the actress died Monday at his home in Santa Maria with a respiratory illness.

"She always said I'm going to die in the chair, I'm not going to stay home and become an old lady," said Elia.

"And that's exactly what he did, he died in the saddle."

Star had been active in his local community until the disease has occurred in recent weeks.

Jane is survived by three adopted children, six grandchildren and ten grandchildren.

His hand and footprints are immortalized in the courtyard of Hollywood legendary Grauman's Chinese Theater.

Three times married actress has also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
