Chinese rhino cups set "Antiques Roadshow" record
(Reuters) - A collection of Chinese cups carved rhinoceros horn has become the most valuable find in the history of 16 years of the television program "Antiques Roadshow" in the United States
The Five Cups, believed to date from the late or early 18 17 were valued at $ 1 - $ 1.5 million on Saturday after being taken to the TV at a stop in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The owner, who prefers to remain anonymous, told Asia-arts expert Lark Mason began collecting cups low cost in the 1970's and had no idea of the current value of the collection.
Chinese antiques have been fetching high prices in recent years, dramatically increasing the value of the collection.

Three episodes produced from the Tulsa event will air the program, which airs on PBS sometime in 2012.
The second-highest U.S. assessment recorded by "Antiques Roadshow" was a collection of carved jade Chinese dishes, which are estimated to be worth up to $ 1.07 billion. They were discovered in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2009.
